Worship

Regular Sunday worship at All Souls' is the celebration of Holy Eucharist. We are a liturgically traditional parish which follows the 1979 Book of Common Prayer and maintains the rituals of the church which have been celebrated by Christians for nearly two millennia. The service includes readings from scripture, a sermon, and prayers. All these build up to the sacrament of Holy Communion at which we share the bread and wine, which we understand to be the real presence of Jesus Christ.

Kids in Worship

All people are welcome at our worship services, including children of all ages. We have several options for families with young children. If your little ones need a way to keep their hands busy while they participate in worship, there are "Play & Pray Bags" available at the front of the church, feel free to bring them into the pews with you. We also provide an age-appropriate component to our worship, which we call Small Souls. It is available to children on all Sundays save for the third Sunday of each month (which is Family Sunday). In Small Souls, the children will hear an age-appropriate sermon and offer prayers together prior to rejoining their families before communion.

Finally, If you prefer, we provide nursery care for children up to age 6. The nursery is open from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm every Sunday, and it is staffed by qualified professionals who have completed Safeguarding God's People training. The nursery is located just inside the door in the building by the flagpole.

Our Services

Celtic

TBD

Said Eucharist

The 8am service (Rite II) can be described as quiet and contemplative. No music accompanies the service. This service is typically 45 minutes in length.

Sung Eucharist

The 10:15am service (Rite II) can be described as a family service. A choir leads the church in Hymns and offers Anthems and Motets at the Offertory and during Communion; infants and children (and their accompanying noises) enliven this service. This service usually lasts about an hour and 10 minutes.

Morning Prayer

The Tuesday morning prayer service is attended by members of our parish, as well as by friends and members from around the USA and in the United Kingdom. More than once, an attendee has zoomed in while riding on Amtrak!

Evensong

Choral Evensong is offered utilizing the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. This service originates from the monastic hours and has been part of Anglican worship since the development of the 1549 Book of Common Prayer.
