Give

At All Souls', we support our community as acts of faith and expressions of Jesus' love in the world. Donations play a crucial role in enabling us to carry out these vital ministries. We are deeply grateful to those who generously contribute to our congregation and our initiatives.

Donations may be made online, by check, as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD), through Donor Advised Funds (DAF), and/or as a Mandatory Required Distribution from your Traditional or Roth IRA. If you would like to donate gifts of appreciated stock and/or include All Souls' in your Planned Giving/ Estate Planning, please contact the church office. Our EIN is 95-1803682.

Thank you for supporting All Souls'.

How We Give Back in the Community

Giving back is central to our Christian values, and we are passionate about making a positive impact, as we serve God by serving our neighbors. We believe a personal invitation can inspire active participation. Here are some of the wonderful ways we contribute to our community.

Military

All Souls’ has a long history of supporting members of the Armed Forces and their families. We are recognized as a Veteran Military Friendly Congregation (VMFC) in San Diego County, providing a welcoming environment for military families. We also seek to serve the needs of sailors and marines on ships that call San Diego home.

Homelessness

All Souls’ is located near Ocean Beach and the Midway District, where homelessness is a significant issue. Inspired by Matthew 25:40, we have several ways we help: Blessings in a Bag provides immediate essentials; Showers of Blessings offers mobile showers twice a month at the Episcopal Church Center; and we participate in the Interfaith Shelter rotation with St. Peter’s-by-the-Sea Lutheran Church. These efforts directly support homeless individuals. Additionally, All Souls’ supports St. Paul’s Senior Housing, providing stable housing for older, at-risk individuals who were formerly experiencing homelessness.

Loaves & Fishes

We are dedicated to helping more families and our unhoused neighbors. However, the costs of procuring enough food to help our neighbors have gone up dramatically in the past few years. Donating both cash and non-perishable foods to the non-profit organization Loaves & Fishes is now more important than ever. Your generosity helps us support as many people as possible during these tough times. Please consider donating food weekly at our collection point in the church Narthex.

Peninsula Community Senior Center

All Souls' is a proud partner of the Peninsula Community Senior Center, supporting seniors in Point Loma and enhancing the quality of life for our elder community members through meaningful social programs and support services, including transportation to appointments, shopping, and more.

As an Episcopal church, we support fellow Episcopal congregations, including Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, City Heights. Their efforts include a Back to School Bash, providing backpacks and school supplies for children in need. They also maintain a food pantry for the City Heights neighborhood.

Villa Musica

The arts are integral to All Souls'. Music fosters self-expression, creativity, and community. That's why we partner with Villa Musica, which makes music accessible through education, performance, and community engagement. Beginning in late 2024, we will host Villa Musica’s new satellite music academy right here in Point Loma. This academy will offer individual and group instruction for children and youth two days a week.

Blessings in a Bag

Following each service, everyone is invited to take a "Blessings in a Bag" to give to unsheltered individuals they encounter in the city. This helps parishioners to give immediate help to those living on the streets. Each bag contains essential items such as a flashlight, snacks, water, cash, and hygiene products.

Colegio Esperanza

We raise funds to help different causes near us, across the country, and around the world. One of the things we do is help students at Colegio Esperanza in Tijuana. Every December, we wrap and give Christmas presents for these students, bringing joy and support during the holiday season.
