Christian Formation Offerings
At All Souls' we offer two opportunities for Christian Formation:
Each Sunday at 9:10 a.m., in the Sherman Room, we meet for an approximately 45 minute gathering and discuss topics pertinent to today's life. Our beginning sessions for the next couple of weeks will focus on charitable discourse, often from guest speakers. As C. E. committee member Dr. Mark Mann states, "We live in what some scholars have called the most divisive time in American history since the Civil War. Whether that is the case, it’s clear that division, discord and polarization exist not only in our country, but sadly also in the church. But God calls us to unity, so this fall we will conduct a Sunday morning series of forums in which we explore resources and tools for finding unity in Christ to counteract the ways that the Enemy would seek to drive us apart."
Beginning Sunday, Oct 1, we will be offering First Sunday Fellowship from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in Gooden Hall. This is open to all ages. There will be a program for the youth and child care will be provided for the very youngest of us. A dinner will be provided and then we will hear from our presenter, Dr. Mark Mann, who will present the topic of why relationships are important. We will then break into small groups for informal discussion followed a short prayer service to conclude the evening. Since dinner will be served it will be helpful for us to know if you plan to attend. Please RSVP to office@allsoulspointloma.org to tell us you and how many others will a attend. If you have any questions, please e-mail Scott Crispell at PokNY49@sbcglobal.net. We look forward to seeing you there.
